I'm going to have a go at your Flapjack recipe 4P. I bought all the ingredients on the way home last night. I will have to be a variation on the theme as the Sainsburys near me is a bit small and didn't have exactly what you recipe asks for. But like Sweetie, I am sure they will come out fine: They didn't have ordinary butter, so having to make do with peanut butter Sugar - OK (cubes alright?) No porridge oats, so got grape nuts as the closest No golden syrup, so tangerine and orange marmalade Salt - OK, got that in the cupboard - it's garlic salt, but hey, what the heck! Cinnemon - OK - got a bit stick of that I'll let you know what I think of your recipe Right - off to the kitchen

Not bad! If I made them again I's leave out the garlic salt. And the one that had the stick of cinnemon in it wasn't to my taste. But by and large well worth making again.
Thanks 4P

Thanks 4P So glad you enjoyed them...but please don't bother to post the exact recipe..... I think you may have just invented the world's first savoury flapjack.....

He could sell it and the proceeds could go to FA i'd buy it!

Hmmmm... that link belongs to Quaker Oats The witch. Do you really believe they can be relied upon for impartial information?

Just to let you know all flapjack production has been suspended in our house for the time being. The oven tray I usually use has become the guinea pigs, litter tray! No more flap jacks till I find another oven tray.... I suppose I could just give it a quick swill under the tap....the piggies wouldn't miss it for a couple of hours would they? as long as I don't put sultanas in, I could pick the 'bits' out.

As long as you feed your guinea pigs a good organic diet I don't see why it wouldn't add some extra flavour..they are vegetarians aren't they? Waste not, want not Emsey dear.

Oh no Emsey how will you survive without 4P's flapjacks. After you've given it a quick swill under the tap you could give it a rinse in some Milton just to ease your conscience. and when they're cooked I can take them to sleepys and put them in his fridge, just to be on the safe side!
