Well, let's be honest here - the joy of flapjacks is that they crumble making every bite an adventure...and then you can spend HOURS pinching up all the crumbs, finding them tucked in little crevices and eventually licking the tin they are cooked in and/or stored in for every last bit.....(although storing flapjacks is a strange concept....)..I prefer to stash them where no one will ever think to look. My family think I'm too short to reach the top of the pantry cupboard but they're wrong.......

It's really annoying isn't it, that? I wish they'd make their own flapjacks instead of pinching mine......oooh I could rip a tissue - especially when you open up the tin to find some creep has eaten everything bar the tiny crumbs in the corner.......

She went on a crash diet in the end and we eventually found 3 toffees, £1-36 in change, a tv remote and a long lost hampster (dead unfortunately).

You just have to, don't you? I lost a hamster many years ago.......do you think it might be hanging about still then? I must never lose weight! I don't wanna find anything nasty....OMG, is this why my OH is no longer interested in me? He had a nasty shock one dark night whilst map reading the stretch marks and is too traumatised to discuss it. He's turned to drink to try and forget.......but still it haunts him...I wondered why my cat Pumpkin likes curling up next to me at night. She can smell the rodent's rotting fumes but can't tunnel in deep enough to get it. One day she will be in there as I turn over in my sleep and unravel enough for her to get her claws in the rolls. Thank goodness for the leek stink. Oh dear, I've made myself feel quite sick....... I need flapjacks... Oh NO! I don't know why they are called flapjacks but I've just had the vilest idea about it.....yuck.........oh dear, I'm not nice am I? I bet Sleepy knows EXACTLY what I'm thinking..

The great thing about flapjacks is that you only ever end up eating a half of them - the rest's crumbled off somewhere so they can't really be fattening can they?

In the interests of science today I made two trays of Flapjacks, one in the classic 4P style and one made with Muesli instead of plain oats and Black treacle instead of Golden syrup. I left them to cool and just now went to get some, ALL GONE!

Unfortunately that's true...the simplest things in life are the most fattening....but taste the best! I think we may have a FATBAGS Flapjack Frenzy this year. Instead of Christmas maybe? "Celebrate the Shortest Day with the Longest Flapjack" sort of thing......or an Autumn Fruits Day of Flapjack Feasting...oooh, synchronised flapjacks!

Autumn Fruits - THE place to visit for flapjacks.....(and if you knew what I was talking about this morning - you'll be laughing as much as I am - grunging to the next level ;D ) Shall I grow up? Or shall I just shut up and go to bed.....?
