Split from: What%27s+the+weather+like%3FI try to keep my chin up as I sit in the sun sipping a mint julip (Ha!, try saying that after 3 of them!!!), but it is hard sometimes, having to put the sprinkler on in the evenings. Give us your recipe to try please Sleepy ;D

Give us your recipe to try please Sleepy ;D Put 6 fresh mint leave and a teaspoon of caster sugar in a glass. Lightly bruise the leaves a bit to release the mint oils. Add a lot of crushed ice (I prefer lightly crushed). Top up with brandy. Add a slice of orange or lime.

Mm, that sounds scrummy. I've developed a taste for brandy over the last few years. My Pineau charentais drink is about 80% brandy...I wonder if crushed mint leaves would be nice in that? Best get another bottle and try....
