What is your favourite thing to cook, or what are you best at cooking?
I love doing a roast dinner with all the trimmings, including home-made gravy and home-made stuffing. And I like to think I'm pretty good at making soups.

I enjoy doing Sunday roast too - OH loves cooking, but he doesn't like baking, but I do. My faves are Victoria Sandwich, scones served with clotted cream and strawb jam, and cream horns - to name just a few things ;D

I cheat with Victoria Sandwich and use my food processor, using 4 eggs and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. ;D

I've a vegetarian friend who says that the only thing that could possibly tempt him back to eating meat is the smell of bacon cooking!!! ;D

I can do the whole Indian dinner party thing but it takes all day and I don't fancy it come the evening.
Speciality is Vindaloo - but I don't make it too hot and it is very, very tasty. Unusual because you have to cook the onions until they are black and then blend with spices and vinegar - it works though.

I feel like that about xmas dinner Mick takes all day, then I'm not in the mood for it, as if the constant cooking smells have convinced me I have already eaten it. You could cook it one day, freeze it, and eat it on another occasion though although it might not be the same,

I have a bit of a thing about food which is over fussy. I get VERY grumpy if I watch Masterchef! Consequently I like fairly plain food - with good ingredients and not a lot else! And not boiled to bits .....and not lots of little piddling bits and pieces either! I like making pizzas though with home made herby tomato sauce and olives. Yum!

I love Olives, I eat them on their own as no-one else in the house can stand the sight of them, the children particularly dislike the ones stuffed with pimentos they say they look like eyeballs

Yum! talking of piddly faffy food...Robbie Coltraine was being interviewed a few years back and he was talking about visiting terribly posh restaurants...he said he looked down at his meal and said 'Is that a salad? or did somebody sneeze on the plate?' EW! ;D

Robbie Coltrane is a nice bloke isn't he? Not skinny either - which makes a change! He is the perfect Hagrid too.
I've just had SUCH a nice meal with my beloved - pizza and chips (all home made) with coleslaw and washed down by a glass of cider and listening to "Life's a long song" by Jethro Tull. Nothing very special but we enjoyed it!

I like making Italian meals. Tomato and mozarella salad, followed by Lasagne, garlic bread and salad. Sometimes traditional lasagne, otherwise chicken and brocolli. Followed by Chocolate tart with raspberries and mascaponi. I like doing 'posh' BBQ's too. Not just burgers and sausages, which I dont really like too much. Things like tuna steak, beef steak, ribs, bacon wrapped round cherry tomatoes on sticks, halluomi cheese, marinated chicken..........just to name a few.

Mmmmm I just LURVE hallumi! I like a pukka BBQ too, rather than burgers and bangers, but sometimes we have to cater for sprog too! I love the sound of bacon wrapped around cherry tomatoes - I must give that a go. We usually wrap bacon around bananas!
